Olivia

San Diego is underwater. The roads are flooded, and Rock determines that it’s too dangerous to drive back to Los Angeles. We’ve managed to escape the zoo, and the driver is waiting for us. The limo is parked in the red zone in front of the zoo, a lone car in the parking lot, which has turned into a lake.

“Are we going to make it out of here?” I ask Rock.

“We’ll either drive away or sail away, I guess. I’m going to have to leave this guy a huge tip.”

“Maybe you can build him a twenty-million-dollar house,” I suggest.

“I might have to do that.”

He knocks on the window, and the driver unlocks the doors. Rock opens the back door and lets me get in first before he gets in and slams the door.

“Can you get us to a five-star hotel?” Rock asks the driver.

The driver turns around. “My daughter wants a nose job.”

“How much is that? Three gee’s?” Rock asks.

“Six.”

“A nose job is serious surgery,” I say. “She should focus on her inner beauty.”

“She can’t see her inner beauty,” the driver tells me. “Her nose blocks out the sun.”

“That’s some nose,” I say.

“I’ll give you five thousand, but you have to get us to the Hotel Del Coronado,” Rock tells him.

“Over the bridge? Are you kidding? We’ll be killed. The barriers on the bridge are shorter than my dick. The water will wash us over the side, and it’ll be lights out for all us. You want to die like that? Falling over the Coronado bridge and drowning in the ocean?”

“I don’t want to die like that,” I interrupt. “I mean, I get a vote, right?”

“Fine,” Rock says, ignoring me. “I’ll give you six thousand.”

“You got a deal, pal,” the driver announces and starts the car.

“Wait a minute,” I say. “What about us dying? What about the barriers being shorter than his penis?”

“I got a really big penis,” the driver says and turns onto the street. At least we’ve made it out of the parking lot.
